Who We Are
Kim McGuire
Kim McGuire has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare field. She started her career at Health Net in the proposal development department, then moved to Medicare Sales as an Account Manager before finally becoming Manager, Medicare Account Management/Sales. She effectively managed more than 200 employer groups, retaining 98% of her customers year after year. Kim was also responsible for new business sales, implementation, and administrative management, developing strong working relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants to generate new business. In addition, she introduced new Medicare products to the Connecticut Small Employer market, giving employers more flexibility and price points.
Kim’s most recent position was Director of Sales and Account Management, Retiree Programs at an independent brokerage agency specializing in medical and prescription drug solutions for Medicare beneficiaries.
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration from Quinnipiac University and a Master of Public Administration Concentration in Health Policy and Management specializing in Health Services Management from New York University Wagner School of Public Service. In addition, Kim is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration specializing in Health Care Administration from Northcentral University.
Kim has been married for 22 years and has one son. She enjoys spending time in the Berkshires with her family.
Dan Dempsey
Dan has over 15 years experience in Medicare sales, with the last 8 years being with Medicare Assurance Group, LLC. Prior to joining Medicare Assurance Group, Dan worked for a private insurance agency where he was the lead sales representative for their annual Medicare retention efforts. Also in his previous position, he was an account manager for several employer group retiree accounts with 3000+ memberships. Additionally, Dan has worked in different aspects of the pharmaceutical and Medicare billing fields and has extensive knowledge in both areas.
Dan is a lifelong resident of Cheshire, where he currently resides with his wife Lisa and their three sons: Colin, Jake, and Sean. He is extremely active in their youth sports including serving on the Board of Directors for the Wallingford Hawks Youth Hockey.
Lauren Hawkins
Lauren has been with Medicare Assurance Group for 3 years now. She grew up in Connecticut and moved to Georgia when she was in high school. She is a graduate of Augusta University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services. There, she was an active member of the Health Services Society.
Lauren is passionate about helping others and excels at communication. Previously, she interned with CVS Health, where she worked closely with various healthcare leaders within the enterprise with the goal of helping people on their path to better health. While at CVS, she introduced a multi-channel customer engagement improvement strategy. Lauren takes a special interest in the Medicare arena of healthcare, as it allows her to work closely with individuals within the community.
Upon graduating from Augusta University in the Spring of 2021, Lauren was able to obtain her Health Insurance license in both her home state of South Carolina, as well as Georgia and Connecticut.
In her free time, she enjoys watching Clemson baseball and spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
Laurie Mainiero
Laurie has been working for Medicare Assurance Group since May of 2018 and has quickly become an integral part of the team. Laurie works intimately with Kim on a daily basis as a central point of communication and coordination. She is able to anticipate the needs of the entire office and keeps it all running smoothly.
Laurie grew up overseas experiencing rich culture in the Philippines. She returned with her family for High School. Now she is married to her husband of over 20 years, has three children, and one fur baby. In her free time, Laurie enjoys vacationing with her family, exploring NYC with her friends, and reading novels.
